AI video

AI video for software teams

TCV Studio is a founder-led video studio in San Francisco. Most of the work is post-production for software teams: launch and product videos, edited event and session video, and demos. We use AI tools on the repetitive parts of the edit. A person directs the story and approves the cut.

What we do with AI

AI inside the edit. A person in charge of it.

These are the parts of post-production where AI is useful. The tool can propose a select. Someone at TCV decides whether it belongs.

  • Faster rough cuts and selects

AI can assemble a first pass and pull moments worth a look from a long recording. An editor starts from that pass and decides what stays.

  • Transcript-driven editing

A transcript makes the recording searchable. We use it to find lines, build a cut from what was said, and keep the edit tied to the words.

  • AI-assisted motion and graphics

AI can help build titles and simple graphics. An editor still designs the frame and checks it against your brand.

  • Versioning and localization

After a master is approved, we prepare other lengths, captions, and localized versions that are in scope. A person checks each version before it goes out.

How it works

Human creative direction at every step

Direction runs through the whole edit. AI can draft a pass. A person decides the cut.

  1. 01

    Start from the job.

You tell us the audience, the deadline, the source material, and what the video needs to do.

  2. 02

    A person sets the direction.

A producer or editor decides the story, the structure, and what to leave out before a tool builds anything.

  3. 03

    AI takes the repetitive pass.

Transcripts, selects, a rough assembly, and version prep. That output is a draft for the editor.

  4. 04

    An editor shapes the cut.

Pacing, picture, graphics, and sound stay with a person. Review notes come back to an editor.

  5. 05

    You review, then we deliver.

You see the cut. We deliver the master and the other lengths or captions that were in scope.

PromptFlow

Our in-house prompt builder: each shot's character, action and lighting are built as separate pieces, then combined and checked before anything is generated.

Who it's for

Marketing, product, and DevRel leads

This is for people at tech and software companies, including AI startups, who want a studio that uses AI tools and still finishes the video by hand.

  • Marketing leads

Launch and campaign videos that need a clear story and a finish date, cut from material you already have.

  • Product leads

Demos and feature walkthroughs built from screen recordings and footage your team provides. Product details stay with your team.

  • DevRel leads

Talks and technical sessions turned into an edited video people will actually watch.

  • Software companies and AI startups

Teams that want AI tools in the edit, and a studio that still makes the creative calls.

Questions

Common questions

What does TCV Studio's AI video work include?

TCV Studio is a founder-led video studio in San Francisco for software teams. The AI video work is post-production: faster rough cuts and selects, transcript-driven editing, AI-assisted motion and graphics, and versioning and localization. A person directs the work and approves what ships.

Does a person still direct the video?

Yes. Someone at TCV sets the creative direction, shapes the cut, handles review, and approves delivery. AI is used on repetitive steps. It does not replace that judgment.

Does TCV shoot the footage?

Most of this work is post-production. We edit footage, screen recordings, and session recordings that already exist. A shoot, if you need one, is scoped on its own. We do not describe an edit as if we shot it.

Will you use AI if our company does not allow it?

No. If you do not want AI, or your company prohibits it, we will not use it. If your team has an approved internal model, we can talk about using it when access and the scope allow.
